This Design-Build Burr Construction, Inc. project encompasses 3 VA projects: Security Surveillance System replaces the existing outdated system with new fiber optic carried multi-function cameras, backup and digital storage systems. Burr will install 53 cameras on 12 buildings including conduit, wiring, backup systems, and battery power sources as well as refurbish the VA Police Dispatch Office, demolishing the existing wall coverings, flooring, ceiling tiles and removing the old electrical monitoring equipment. Electricity will be ran to the building for the 3 ton HVAC unit that will be installed on the roof, which will cool the newly renovated VA Police Dispatch Office. Retrofit Fire Alarm System consists of installing new fire alarms, conduit, wiring, backup power, strobes and chimes in 4 buildings. Accessibility Correction Phase 3 consists of renovating 11 restrooms located in the main hospital. Burr will begin by establishing infection control procedures for each restroom and the abatement of asbestos and lead paint. Burr will demolish the restrooms removing the ceiling, drywall, floors, wall tile, and the floors will be prepared for a new epoxy coating. The ceiling tiles, wall tiles and fixtures will be replaced with up to date fixtures complying with the VA specs and making the restrooms ADA/VA Access compliant.
