Burr Construction, Inc. provided Quality Control Management oversight on this project which required the furnish and installation 25,000 LF of mainline 8-inch diameter pressure waterline with 6-inch and 4-inch C900 PVC laterals, including appurtenances, throughout various arterial streets in Torrance, CA.  Pipe works included the furnishing and installation of resilient gate valves, blow-off assemblies, air/vac assemblies, recycled water sampling stations, and meters.  Minor Concrete, cross-gutter, curb, and sidewalk repairs were kept to a minimum.  Hundreds of existing utilities were located and potholed, including high profile gas, oil, electric, fiber optic and sewer lines.  All utilities were protected in-place, without damage.  In addition, the project required the cross-over or -under more than 50 unmarked utilities without incident.  The project included 100,000 SF of asphaltic pavement restoration and 700,000 SF of slurry seal, plus electrical loop detector repair and replacement, pavement markings and signage.
